"... they crucified Him, and with Him two others -- one on each side and Jesus in the middle." (John 19:18)

For more than three thousand years these two Chinese characters have been used. The character on the left, which is in use today, means "COME". The one on the right was one of the ancient variations of its modern form "ERA",. It is commonly used together with another word meaning "BOUNDARY", , to compose a word pair meaning "WORLD" .

If you are more careful, you will find more in the character on the left. Note that the position of the Middle Person is lower than both the persons on His side. This illustrates perfectly what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21 "God made Him Who had no sin to be sin [offering] for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."

When Jesus of Nazareth was hanging on the cross between heaven and earth, God the Father made the One Who did not know sin (according to the original Greek New Testament) to be SIN. At this moment, He turned away from His Son. And then God the Father poured down His wrath toward sin onto His Only Beloved Son, as if His Son was the SIN itself.

No wonder Jesus cried out on the cross: "My Father, my Father, why have you forsaken me?" That was the worst moment for God and His Son, and yet the start of the best times for sinners held fast by the power of sin. The One Who was from the highest, now became the lowest for us. He lowered Himself not only by becoming flesh, but by taking our sin and entering the pit of death. Indeed this was the greatest obedience a man ever manifested to God: "... became obedient to death, even death on the cross." (Philippians 2:8b)

Will you accept -- or have you accepted -- the One Who came from the center of Heavens and entered the center of the Earth, for you and me?

Amazingly, the Chinese character on the right depicts a person kneeling toward the cross in the middle. This was also the actual picture on the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago. One of the two criminals crucified with Christ turned to Him and said: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise." (Luke 23:39-43)

But you don't have to wait until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to be able to see Him. The moment your face and knees turn to Him, your inner eye will see Him face to face and He will be with you until the end of the era. Are you one of the two whose knees turned toward Jesus?

You may say all this is coincidence. But that would be false! Would you say the same thing to a sophisticated man-made computer? God created everything and He is behind everything. Nothing is coincidence while He is in control. In fact, He knew a long time ago that it would be harder for a man living in current age to believe His central message. That was why He left, here and there, many clues and signs in human history so that we could use them to solve the biggest puzzle of mankind.

Yes, the Saviour of this world has already COME. He came the first time TO BE JUDGED in order to become the hiding place for all who want to escape from the great wrath of God to be manifested at the end of this ERA. And more than that, He will COME again TO JUDGE and end this ERA. He will lead us into the most wonderful kingdom ever, in which He will be the King of all kings. Are you ready for that? According to the Bible, without knowing His First COMING, it is impossible for us to know the Second COMING. Without accepting Him as replacement for the judgement of our sins, we have to face the terrible judgment ourselves.
